Tonight, I'm in a pit, a place of lowness. If you've never heard building 429's Always, have yourself a listen. It's the kind of crank up the volume, sing your heart out song that I love.
Emily's in Heaven, she's waiting on me there.

School's Out!
This retainer ditch is RIGHT behind our house. It's always empty. The most rain we've seen in it was 2 weeks ago...until TODAY! This thing is FULL! We don't think we can get down our road, but we're gonna try and make it to IHOP. School is closed for me, TAKS is delayed, the freeways are shut down. We got 7-11 inches of rain so this is a big freakin' deal.
Will add more later if I see anything interesting! Be careful!
Oh, and these lovely photos were taken by Daniel. He wanted credit, so I changed my S to a D for today.

Nathan
I've known this guy for several years now. He's one of many that aggrivates the mess out of me at school. He's a total goof ball and is the son of one of my favorite counselors. He cracks me up and makes me smile. I got such a kick out of the camo vest and tie. I think its totally cool that you're going to John Deer school, Nate. Just be easy on that clutch!

First shot...love this location soooo much.
We weren't quite sure where to put his hands.
Downtown, Small town. Love it.
This is Nathan's number one buddy, his baby brother.
I think Nathan's heart will break when he drives off for college.
This is what made me laugh so hard! You're so funny.
Nathan has 2 proms in one week so his Dad insisted that he take some pictures all dressed up. Nice job! You look sharp.
I love this. Who knew you played the guitar? Thanks for making me laugh.
Hope you love these!

BP MS 150 Update: Yay Daniel!
Even the terrible rain storm couldn't stop thousands of people from riding from LaGrange to Austin. It was a bit more chaotic than planned, but still an amazing event. Mom, Amy and I had a great time hanging out together with our Hannah and then it was off to the finish line.
These were all taken while walking down the street. We're a bit silly.
People were soooo excited to cross the finish. It was all a bit emotional for me. :)
Thouands of people were there to cheer the riders on!
Yay! Ben finished!
Amy and our friend Ben.
I don't know if the riders noticed, but the finish line faced the capitol building.
With much anticipation, I watched and waited for Daniel. Here he is at the finish.
Verla, there's your bandana. :)
Still in great spirits after a 76 mile ride.
Ummmm, yeah. He burned about 7000 calories .
Han, Mom, Dan and Aym
I am soooo proud of my cyclist! Love you babe.
A big shout out to THE BIKE -- thank you for keeping my Daniel safe on the road.
Time to go home! It's been a long day.

Easter 2009
This year's Easter rotation meant we were headed to East TX! Yaaaaaaay...crawfish and beer! One of my faves. The entire family made it to Eli & Jessie's game to cheer them on. I'm so proud of how well Eli did and I'm so glad that I was able to photograph their game. It's been too long and I know I should have attended far more of his and Em's games. I'm making up for lost time.
He knows he's cute...but does he know how cute he is when he smiles?
I love this one. Can't tell if he's mad at me or not
Jessie in the outfield.
Jessie is up to bat
The brothers
Eli had a great hitting game.
and slid into home!
Daniel will be such a cute Daddy ( not soon! ). He loves his buddy Maddox.
Madd man is TALL, almost 3.
He wanted us to come and find him.
The Tigers won!
Team photo
We ate crawfish and dessert all day! Looks like Maddox loves the whipped cream and I can't blame him!
I asked for the cheesy face and this was all I got.
Our usual group photo. Emily, you're always with us sweet girl. I miss your face.
I love the way Madd makes Hannah laugh. My sister is so pretty.
Cousins! These people are so dear to my heart.
The handsome boys.
Maddox loves being a big boy! Man, I love that he wouldn't put down the Doritos
This photo takes my breath away. I wish my Mama had this shirt! She and these women are my breath of life. They make me every bit of who I am. We wore our dragonflies for you, Emily!
I don't have pictures from church, but Maddox was adorable and hilarious! He was a distraction and a comedian. When we took communion, he drank my juice! He yelled out "What the ___". Thank GOD he didn't fill in that blank. He played with his plastic animals and sang Jesus loves me. I love this sweet boy. I love that I get to be part of his life at this age.
Easter was a success. Family, food and Jesus -- can't get any better than that!
