Moving Day!

Daniel and I have the keys to our new apartment! We're so excited to have a place of our own, not to mention...we're GLAD to be living together.
Thanks to the family members and friends that helped us get some of our things moved in from Mom and Dad's. I love that all my dishes are washed and put away! As always, you guys are the greatest.
Love ya'll,
Sarah Shalley ;)

Grand Junction, Colorado

JANUARY 7-20, 2007

After a BIG breakfast and opening a huge pile of gifts the morning after our wedding, Daniel and I immediately flew to Colorado so that he could return to work. We had two great weeks that we spent holed up in Daniel's apartment. Without much else to do, I spent SO much time on the internet, took naps, wrote hundreds of thank you's and loved on my husband. Our first weekend there, it snowed over 4 inches that Friday night. Daniel and I put on our warmest clothes and ventured outside so that I could photograph this big red barn that I've had my eye on since my first visit to Fruita. He also took me for a very scenic drive on the Colorado National Monument. I was able to capture some amazing shots that day. I almost forgot to mention that the GJT Cameron office staff and their other halves threw a great going away party for us. THANK YOU! We had a blast bowling with you all. Keep in touch!

Love, Sarah

Wedding Bliss

I started the New Year out EXACTLY right by finally marrying my sweet Daniel! Our wedding day was so beautiful! We enjoyed every minute of the day and have loved our married life. We spent a few weeks together in cold Colorado and then (thank God) will move to Houston in February. What a blessing it is to be close to our friends and family. See below for a few pictures of the big day. All photos are copyright of the lovely Lynsey Kramer. See more of her amazing work at http://www.capturedbylyns.photoreflect.com/.

I'm a Blogger!

One of my favorite new things to do is to read blogs -specifically other photographer's blogs. I check them daily, hoping that I don't miss a single detail of their lives - whether it be their professional or personal life. I love seeing their breathtaking work and reading their perfect descriptions of how they accomplish all that they do -- it inspires me and urges me to be better. My life isn't nearly as exciting as the photographer's that live in Orange County, California. However, I love what blogs are all about - sharing your life with the world, or maybe just your close friends and family. I love that people feel compelled to spill their guts and reveal the most personal details of their life. So here I am, becoming a blogger. I hope that I can really be good at keeping this up to date - no promises though. Maybe the blog will be something that pushes me to pick up my camera even when I'm not photographing a client. How great that will be! All of the following posts will catch you up on my 2007!
Love,
Sarah
