Week 29 | July 13th - July 19th.

Sunday - 13th:
While we were in Houston, my California friend Annemarie and her boys were in Katy visiting AM's parents. I couldn't handle the thought of being so close and not popping over to say hi. Fortunately, Annemarie and her folks didn't mind us crashing in on their afternoon. We drove over and the boys swam in the pool a little. Parker and Burke played on the slide and with B's Cars and Planes die cast toys. AM's parents made hot dogs and after lunch and a few photos, we were back on the road to SA. I'm so grateful for mama friends, and I'm so glad that distance doesn't matter at all. Look at our cute boys.

Monday - 14th:
At not even four months old, Pierce is getting better and better at sitting up. I don't know why he wants to be so big, so fast.  After such a busy few days it was nice to relax and play at home today.

Tuesday - 15th:
Back to our usual Tuesday school and soccer routine. Parker and I opened a kiwi crate this afternoon and he absolutely loved putting together his camp fire craft. It's fun that Parker loves to create things. I'm not very good at coming up with craft like activities for us to do together. For a very fair price, this cute green box finds our door step -- addressed to Parker. It's perfect.

Wednesday - 16th: Another school day for Parker, target run for a few things and Kali's birthday party this afternoon. I love watching Pierce in this jumper. He's starting to enjoy it more and more.

Thursday - 17th:
The house is being cleaned this morning so we needed to get out of the way while the cleaning service does their thing. For just $10, we could play at PeeWeeBees for a few hours. Parker really enjoys this place. Pierce napped just a little for me while we were there - always a good thing. I love this pic of my boys in their pjs. Before I know it, they'll be having bed time stories snuggled up together. Time: slow down.

Friday - 18th:
The boys and I spent day at home since Daniel and I had a special date with Parker planned. Tonight was the release of Planes Fire and Rescue. It's been several months of sharing mama and daddy and Parker has adjusted beautifully but we thought he'd love a night without Pierce. We dropped Pierce off at Paren't Night Out and made our way to the theatre. Daniel let Parker play a few games while we waited. We headed to our seats and settled in with our popcorn and sprite. This was Parker's third movie and he did quite well. We still made several bathroom trips and towards the end were asked when the movie would be over. Since we still had some time to kill after the movie, we grabbed a little dinner at Freddy's. I think Daniel and I needed the one on one date with our big boy just as much as Parker did. We had a great time together. I hope we're able to do something fun with him again soon!

Saturday- 19th:
Parker and Ellie are just hilarious to watch as they play soccer. They laugh and talk most of the time. The ball will be heading toward them and finally one of them will snap out of it and head after it. Dolores and I laugh the entire 30 minutes. It's been so much fun to spend this time with our neighbors and friends.

Week 28 | July 6th - July 12th.

Sunday - 6th: I stopped 1.5 minutes into my drive to grab some caffeine to shake the hangover from last night's late travel home. We're headed west to see Daddy Daniel and as important as that is, I'm still kind of zombie like from lack of sleep. We stopped twice more: once so Parker could potty on the side of the road and again to change Pierce's diaper. Both boys were so good although this was the last place we all wanted to be today. Once we were home and reunited with our Daddy I took a nap with my little man. I'm so grateful Daniel played with Parker while I got some rest. It was much needed. Now that we're home, my cowboy is back in action. I didn't intend to catch this little quirk of Pierce's but I really love how he folds his toes over one another...don't want to forget such sweetness.

Monday - 7th:

I've died and gone to baby boy cuteness heaven. Seriously? I cannot get enough of this sweet face. Of course, my sweetness napped on a chair in the middle of all the things happening at the pool. I'm such a lucky mama that he's so good to me.

We haven't seen Tate in a while so it was good to get to run around and splash with him this morning. 3.5 kiddos sure does make Aquatica a bit of a different experience but it's not enough to keep us from a visit.

Later today, we broke out the bouncy/jumper. Pierce does everything faster than his big brother and with his great head and neck control I figured it was time for a new toy. I love the way his little arms are crossed as he checks everything out.

Tuesday - 8th:
Yay! Baby Sugrue is finally here. Pierce and I dropped a snack at the hospital this morning. Sadly we weren't able to see them since the hospital doesn't allow little baby men to visit their friends. Still, Elizabeth needed a scone and a drink and we were happy to be able to drop it by. Can't wait to see who this new man is.

This is one of my outfits and Pierce is quickly outgrowing it. Our days alone make me so happy as I'm able to snuggle with my sweet big little boy and give him some undivided attention.

I love how much these boys miss one another when apart and light up when seeing their brother at the end of the day!
july2014_0043
Target run. Parker is getting pretty good at using my camera.

Wednesday - 9th:
This guy likes to break our no thumbs rule. He's always loved his thumbs.
july2014_0045
Family date night at our fave place just got a whole lot easier now that Chuy's has a location nearer to us. Yay for not having to drive halfway across town. Woohoo.

Thursday - 10th:
This sweet boy partied with Mom and Dad last night. He absolutely loves seeing "the baby" on the front camera on my phone. I get a good laugh when he finds himself.
july2014_0047
Parker is taller than the counters at the doctor's office now. He stands at 103". Seems like just yesterday I was holding him in my lap. This kid is all about popsicles lately so I made some with Shakeology. He's required to strip down to eat them. Cutie in his undies! We had a few magical moments with sparklers at Cookie and Chief's tonight. It's so fun to watch my boy fill with wonder.

Snuggly sleep with my Pierce
july2014_0049

Friday - 11th:
Pierce is spending some quality time with Uncle Berto.
july2014_0050
I rented a fancy dress that ended up needing some quick and temporary alterations from Brandi's grandmother. So thankful for a sweet lady who saved my night and helped me feel more comfortable for this event. We spent the night at the Westin at Memorial. It was so fun to have a grown up night away from the boys.

Saturday - 12th:
Morning snuggles and tv in Navasota.

Happy Birthday to our Cookie! We have the best of the best as Mama and Cookie.
Daniel and I slept until noon!!! Cookie, Chief and Rebekah met us at the hotel and we headed out for a delish lunch at McCormick and Schmick's. It drizzled lightly so we weren't able to walk around outside. Instead, we went over to the mall to exchange Mom's birthday bracelet and watched kiddos play ice hockey before heading over to eat cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory. A perfect day in my mind...hope Mama enjoyed it just as much.

Daniel and I decided to stay another night in Houston so we bunked up with Parker and put Pierce next to the bed. Surprisingly we all did well in the same room/bed and awoke with smiles on our faces.
