Aldridge Family Photos. Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

Everyone gathered on the porch and waited. Grandmother and I would be the last to join the group. It was just the two of us, for just a minute. When I turned and looked at 27 faces, my heart spilled over and my eyes filled with tears. Look how beautiful they are, I whispered. They're the best thing I ever did, she said as she squeezed my hand. I could hardly fight back the tears. Family photos are my favorite mini tradition and every time two or more gather, you can bet my camera will be out. I'm thankful for the gift of being able to document our lives and show off how blessed we all are just to have one another.
