Not Ready

I'm not ready to talk about this in detail yet. Just wanted to update so that you know what I'm going through and why I'm not around.

Tuesday, August 19th, my sweet, sixteen year old cousin went home to Heaven.
Please visit http://www.emilyannconner.com/ to read more.
My family and I would appreciate your prayers for strength, healing, peace and comfort.
Thank you.

Nick Family

I met Paul in an insurance meeting that my dad arranged at my house. When I found out that he had two girls, I immediately wanted the opportunity to hang out with their family and hopefully grab a few images. I set something up with Kim pretty quickly...still, I couldn't have expected such adorable girls! Oh my! Kennedy and Avery are just precious. I could have eaten Avery with a spoon. I asked her if she wanted to come home with me and she agreed! Haha. Sometime I'll have to have the girls over to play. They were too fun! I especially loved all the creativity they put into thinking up their own poses. I had such a blast. THANKS Nicks!

Ashley & Jeff

Last weekend, I second shot a wedding with N.Cole Photography. Nicole actually went to high school with my sweet aunt, but she and I have become quite good friends through a ton of emails. I asked her if I could tag along to some of her weddings and was super excited when she agreed. I'm eager to get as much experience with weddings as possible and of course, I love hanging out with other photographers! I had a great time and I hope that Ashley, Jeff and Nicole like some of my shots. Since I was second shooting, I had a ton of freedom to get funky with some angles...my fave!

Ashley & Jeff met when Jeff moved into the apartment beneath her. At some point, he was asked to walk her dog...they've been smitten ever since.

The preceremony photos and the reception were held at Briscoe Manor in Richmond. I love this location! The chapel has amazing light! Ashley and Jeff chose to see one another before the wedding and utilize that time to take ALL of their pictures. I love this and totally recommend it to any bride.

The Olympics!

I spent tonight at the gym, killing any arm muscle that had a chance and then raced home to watch the opening ceremonies. The OLYMPICS have always held a special place in my heart. As a kid, we'd all gather around the tv and watch the USA make history. I'm not one to miss out this time either. I'm excited and can't wait to watch some medal hopefuls hopefully come out on top.

The opening ceremony completely blew my mind from the start...2008 drummers in unision!! Wow. It was hard to work on editing Sarah and Cody's images with all the dramatic events taking place on the tv. Tune in...you won't regret it!

I HEART THE OLYMPICS!
Happy BIRTH day to Avery Grace...cool bday sweet girl. I can't wait to meet you!
Congrats to Howard and Vanette.

Sarah & Cody

Sarah will always be special to me. Not only do we share the same first and middle name, we share the incredibly memorable experience of our first year of teaching at NHS. Our year was filled with frustrations, chaos, laughter, secrets, tears, joy of accomplishment, and many, many conversations over lunch. I am so glad to have made a friend in Sarah and I'm saddened that she won't be returning to NHS this year. Something better has come her way...and she's moving to start a new part of her life with her fiance' Cody. I've heard the name mentioned over and over this past year, a smile always lighting her face when she speaks of him. Cody makes Sarah happy all over. I love that they have that fresh new romance, our life is just starting together kind of excitement in their love. Savor that!
I had so much fun with your engagement session! It was great to finally meet the famous Cody James [he sounds like an outlaw but is in fact adorable]. THANK YOU for allowing me to be part of this so-special time in your life. I am honored. Can't wait to celebrate with you in March.
Love to you both!

Because I had such an amazing time, there are a ton of images...I couldn't narrow it down any more than this!
