The Smoky Mountains.

Daniel's Grandmother turned 80 in March. Her three daughters conspired to sneak her away this summer to her most favorite place on Earth, The Smoky Mountains. The semi-surprise was that all of her grandchildren, their spouses and her great grandchildren would be there for the week. 29 people, 1 giant cabin, loads of fun, and a just a little bit of cabin fever. We ate great meals, drank plenty of can't-buy-it-in-Texas beer, played lots of corn hole, took a few hikes, drove through Cade's Cove, played with many cute babies, and stayed up way too late laughing and playing games. It was a bit of an ordeal for some of us to get all the way to Tennessee, but we're all so glad that we did! This is the first time we've all been together since the last of us married and it was nice to just hang out, no agenda necessary. Grandmother was honored that we made sacrifices to travel and it pleased her sweet heart to have us all with her. And we all had a wonderful time too!
