Sisters: Three Strands

My sisters are both graduating this May. Hannah is the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2008 and will soon have earned her degree in Political Science. Bekah is a senior at Navasota High School and will soon be attending Sam Houston State University, majoring in Art/Theatre Arts. To celebrate their great success I took them out for a fun photo shoot.
My sisters are two of the most beautiful people I know. My relationship with each sister is different, unique, special. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Hannah is our middle sister. She was my very first friend in life. Every memory I have from my childhood includes her. I love her silent open mouthed laughs that are contagious to the whole family. I love that she is the smartest person I know. Seriously, she has the most consistent and highest gpa at A&M that I've ever heard of. I love that she loves oreos. I love her wavy, dark hair. I love that she's tall. I love her wrinkly hands and feet. I love that I can talk to her about anything in the world and she'll just sit and soak in my words without saying a thing - she doesn't interrupt me (the way I do her) to give me advice. She really listens. I love that she needs me. I'm the only big sister she'll ever have. I love my Loo Loo.

Bekah is our baby sister. Since the day she was born, I've felt partially responsible for her. She's probably able to rattle off a million things that she wishes I hadn't said or done to "mother" her, but I can't help wanting to do what I can to help her be her best. Bekah is the life of the house. She's incredibly loud, sometimes obnoxiously loud, but she makes us laugh and she brings us all to the center of our house to watch or listen to her many performances. Bekah is extremely talented. She can paint, draw, and write. She's the best high school actress I've ever seen. She wears the cutest clothes and an unreal amount of jewelry and is adorable every day! I love that Bekah has the same crazy laugh that I do. I love that Bekah is full of drama and funny stories. I love that she can do anything she puts her mind to. Bekah will be successful. She will impact lives. I love you sweet baby sister. I always have.

I am proud of you both. I love you with every breath, with every beat of my heart.
You are what makes my life sweet.
