Parker {Twelve Months}

My sweet boy,
You have turned ONE. It happened so fast! I am so grateful that I get to spend every day with you. We haven't been apart much and while this can be exhausting, I am so proud of the fact that your first year of life has been witnessed by Mommy and then documented beautifully. Thankfully, you love the camera and Mama loves to photograph your cuteness. All of a sudden, you are so BIG. You stand up for minutes at a time and take a little step here or there. You're ready to WALK and don't like to be offered any assistance. You're busy all day and are starting to get into everything. You're talking more and more and seem to be even more eager to learn what things are called. You love to be on the go and do best when we have errands to run around town. It sometimes takes us awhile to get through a store because you sweetly say hi to everyone we pass. I love that you are so friendly and talkative. I can't get over how much change has taken place in our lives over the course of the past year. We aren't where I thought we would be, BUT we are so blessed and I truly do love getting to spend so much time with you.



Eating - You continue to be a great eater. First thing in the morning, you're ready for your milk and something to eat. You LOVE bananas and would eat them all day if I'd let you. Typically we have some sort of bread and lots of fruit for breakfast. You drink milk and water throughout the day and are getting better about only drinking from a cup. I am eager to get rid of the bottle soon. You love to eat after your morning nap and then snack off and on until dinner time. You still take a bottle at bed time.

Sleeping - You're sleeping wonderfully. Still taking two naps a day though the afternoon nap sometimes varies and then sleeping from 8:30-8:00.


Measurements - We went to the doctor ON your birthday! You weigh 23 pounds and are 30.31 inches tall. You did have to get four shots and I hated how rough the MMR was on you.


Things You Do -

• wave and say hi
• point
• play fetch with Harley
• put lids on containers
• stack objects
• climb onto the couch/chair/ottoman and get down all by yourself
• push pillows off couch so that you can roll off couch and land on pillows
• throw a ball (you even have pretty good aim)
• stand on your head
• drop something and say UH OH over and over

This Happened -

• we celebrated your 2nd Easter in ETX at Baba's house
• we spent a week at aunt Hayley and uncle Jake's while Daddy worked in Houston and Jake was in Iraq
• you took your first steps in Tate's room while trying to get away from Coco
• you fell asleep sitting up in your Pack N Play
• you played on the playground at Chic Fil A on your birthday
