New Year's Eve we packed up and headed to the woods. We were camping. Well, sort of. We sat around the camp fire talking and eating smores half the night. Thank goodness for that fire. It was chilly! The girls played a few rounds of Uno and snacked on queso while the boys did their man-thing by the fire. This year, it was especially difficult to stay up until midnight. There weren't any fireworks, just a kiss good night for us. We ladies shacked up in the cabin while the guys roughed it on the ground in the tent. New Year's Day we made breakfast, chatted, cleaned up, shot skeet, and headed home for a much needed nap. This NYE was quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Just what I needed to ring in the new year.
