Parker {Two Months}
Parker Wilson,
Slow down! In the last month, you have changed so drastically. Mama needs to freeze time. Finally life has balanced out a bit and we're able to enjoy one another with more ease. I still don't have the ability to do it all. You are such a sweet boy and I absolutely love our mornings and nights together. It's a special time where I get you all to myself. I see your personality developing more each day and I'm trying to soak you up every minute we're together because you're just growing too fast.
Eating: We made some big changes this month. You are now drinking 4ounce bottles every two and a half hours. I continued nursing you through the night for a few weeks, but still didn't think you were filling up so I made the decision to bottle feed you during the night too. I really do miss nursing...you were so good at it and it is such a special time that I get to spend with you. At night time, you get a few tablespoons of cereal in your bottle to help satisfy you and stretch out the feedings {don't judge me}. I am pumping as often as I can, but we're still supplementing your bottles with 50% formula. I also take these funny Fenugreek pills to help increase my milk supply and they smell like maple syrup. You continue to be a good eater and absolutely hate it when we have to stop eating to burp you.
Sleeping: I am so happy that we have made some improvements in sleep this month. At seven weeks, I put you in your Pack 'N Play to sleep. No more snuggling Mama through the night. You're sleeping about three hours at a time and I sneak out of bed to feed you a bottle without waking you or Daddy up. No more middle of the night diaper changes! Your morning diapers are full and heavy, but by not changing you in the middle of the night, you stay asleep while eating.
Measurements: At your 8week appointment, you were 11lb.14oz. 21.25 inches long and 15.5 hc. You've grown almost three inches and have gained 2lbs in the past month. I was a little surprised you didn't weigh closer to 13lbs. I think you're a big boy!
All About You:You are so sweet in the mornings. I love getting a few minutes with my smiling, talkative boy. I no longer have to rush to feed an angry boy, but get to enjoy hearing what you have to say. This is our favorite time of day with you! You're getting a little better about letting me put you down, but of course still love to be held all the time. I think walking around on someone's shoulder satisfies your sense of curiosity. You hold your head up like a big boy so that you can see all that is going on and when you're laying down, you've discovered how much fun it is to kick your legs - especially when doing so makes noise. We're able to play for slightly longer periods on your playmat. As soon as you start to fuss, we're all done and on to something else. After a series of leaks and blowouts, you've graduated from a newborn to a size one diaper. They look so big on you! You're now going to daycare two days a week and I think we both love it! Mama misses you while you're gone, but it is nice to have a break and get things done around the house. My favorite part of Mondays and Thursdays is picking you up from school! I love the look on your face when you see Mama and Daddy. You are a happy boy, unless you need something that you don't already have. You're starting to become particular about your bed time routine and insist that we get it right so that you're comfy. Mama loves that she is the one you want to put you down.
Likes: Bath time, play time (for just a few minutes), being talked to, eating, walking around, looking at ceiling fans, lights and windows, being held upright rather than cradled, bouncing on the bed, for Mama to sing to you at bed time.
Dislikes: Being put down or left alone in a room, waiting too long to eat (I'm pushing 3-3.5 hours and you're fighting me), possibly Mama's photo sessions.

Daniel's First Father's Day
Dear Daddy,
I love it when you put me high on your shoulder and walk around so that I can see everything as you do. Your voice calms me in a way that Mommy's doesn't and sometimes I like to just sit with you and do nothing. I love when we get to talk (even if it's in the middle of the night, you listen!) and play and walk around outside. Thank you for reading me bedtime stories and giving me plenty of snuggles before I go to sleep. Saturday mornings are the best because we get to sleep in together and then lay in bed and play. I miss you when you have to go to work, but I know that you're working so hard to take such good care of me. Thank you for being the best Daddy in the world.
Daniel,
Life together hasn't been easy, and it may never be. I know that becoming parents presents its own set of challenges within our marriage because we now have to find time to be us, husband and wife, then Mommy and Daddy to Parker. I know that I don't often put you first and I'm so sorry. I sure hope to figure out how to balance time with both my guys. I have always known that you would be a good Daddy, but you have completely overwhelmed me! From day one of pregnancy, you have been supportive, encouraging, loving and oh-so-helpful! April 19th, I fell in love with you all over again. Thank you for sleeping in uncomfortable chairs and beds, for holding my hand all day, keeping the visitors at bay when necessary and for praying over me as I worked to bring Parker into the world. I will forever cherish those first moments we had together as a family of three. I love the way you looked at him and your eyes shown with a deep, unconditional Daddy love. You do more than your share around the house and I am grateful for a man that will scrub toilets, do laundry, cook dinner and mow the lawn. You are a wonderful friend, husband and father. I am so blessed that you choose to wake up each day and share your life with me (P and the girls). Thank you for being you....we wouldn't want anyone else in the world!
Also, Happy Father's Day to Chief, Papa, Grandaddy Sam and the other daddies in our life. We have amazing fathers who are a perfect picture of love and service to our families.
To celebrate Father's Day, the Larkins and the Georges came over and we grilled a yummy dinner. Thanks guys for working on your day!

Roarr. Lunch Date with Natalie.
Parker's Cookie bought him this precious little outfit. Before he gets too big for it, I wanted to make sure I snapped a few photos of him wearing his roarr-dinosaur. So boy. I love this.
Wiggle worm!
I flipped him over for a booty shot and he screamed at me.
Punishing Mama? I think he looks so mad!
Playmat time!
Wondering who that cute boy in the mirror is...
From Park's perspective
Look closely: he's holding a toy and kicking one too. This boy loves to make noise.
Getting better at the Bumbo
After lots of pictures, playtime and a nap, Parker and I met Natalie for lunch. Nat was in Houston for a quick visit with a friend, but wanted to meet my cutie before heading back to San Antonio. We had fun catching up!
Parker slept through most of lunch.

8 Weeks = Shots!
Today, we took Parker to the doctor for his 8 week well visit. Dr. Yu was so impressed at Parker's growth (I try to explain to 'folks that this boy loves to eat!). He weighs 11 pounds 14 ounces and is 24.25 inches long. This means that in six weeks, Parker has gained 4 pounds and grown 3 inches! I have a little monster on my hands. The worst part was that Parker had to get 3 shots. I wasn't sure how I would handle watching this process and kind of expected to shed a few tears myself. Thankfully, someone recommended that I take a bottle with me and stick it in his mouth immediately after the shots. Daddy was recruited to hold him down and I would "save the day" with the bottle when it was all over. Parker definitely screamed, but was easily calmed afterward.
So glad I didn't have to do this part.
My baby with his thighs band-aided. He did really well and because he kicks all the time, he never got knots or was sore!
Worn out from the doctor's appointment.
I held my boy a lot today and let him take sweet naps in my bed.
I love these chubby hands.
Parker sleeps like me: hands near face and one leg over the other.
Stretching to wake up!

Happy 21! & A Few Hours Out
Baby sister,
I can't believe you are 21. I remember the day you were first placed in my arms! I've always been proud to be a big sister. For 21 years, you have made us laugh with your funny stories and your dramatic way of telling us all that goes on in your life. I love how easily you love others and the way that you pour yourself into little people. Thank you for loving my sweet Parker man the way you do. I know that he thinks the world of you already.
It is a Wilson girl tradition to eat at Wings on our 21st birthday! Yummy! We loved every bite.
Later that night,Hannah, Daniel and I met our good friends Mark and Kara for a drink at North Gate.
