This would be the longest day in Vegas. Ever. First, we had to tell Amy and Ben bye and send them back to CA. Then Daniel and I set out with the rest of the group, but ended up doing our own thing -- touring the strip, mostly on foot. What's with us and walking MILES through cities? I wanted to soak in the sights. We walked through hotel after hotel after hotel...the strip really is remarkable. Each hotel and casino is it's own little world. And I loved visiting them.
Friends before Vegas, but even better friends now. LOVE the reunion. Can't wait till the next one.
Las Vegas, Blvd...here I come!
New York New York --
Excalibur - for some reason, I never want to stay here.
MGM Grand -
Paris -
Bally's -
Largest slot machine we've ever seen.
Bill's Gamblin Hall -
Flamingo - love love love it. All the tables in the casino are HOT pink.
OShea's -
Stopped here for a $1 beer. Love the countdown to St. Patty's Day.
Harrah's -
The Mirage -
Treasure Island - where they have not so family friendly shows at night.
The venetian -
Palazzo -
We found MORE gelato. This time it was Dan's fave - mint chocolate chip.
Bellagio -
World Famous Wynn -
This made my day - just that morning I'd been sad, thinking of my Emily.
I would love a floor or wall like this. Magical.
Trump -
At this point, we met up with the group to say goodbye to Matt and Lindsay. I was hot and tired and felt like I was going to be sick. There is NO BREEZE in LV. Off to Cesar's Palace for some sweet tea and french fries!
After refreshments, the remaining 9 of us went across the street to OShea's. Their casino contains one game you just can't really lost at -- BEERPONG 24/7. Too funny! While the guys hit the table, the girls played roulette. I should have quit while I was up...instead, I ended up losing EVERYTHING I had. Oh well. It was a really fun afternoon.
Many hours later, we went to watch the volcano erupt and see the (very inappropriate)show at Treasure Island.
Now starving, we hopped on a bus to Freemont Street. Cameron will tell you that the Golden Nugget has THE BEST NACHOS on earth. I think not eating all day had just taken it's toll. Still, one of our last meals was the best and the cheapest. : )
