Aggie Football

Daniel and I haven't been to a game together since '04. We were long overdue for some Aggie football! We are so THANKFUL to the O'Briens for selling their tickets to us. The seats were pretty awesome. We had a HOT time but really enjoyed ourselves! GO AGS! Good game, made even better by the loss of a few other (unmentioned) Big XII teams.
Afterwards, we headed to our favorite tailgate and then over to the K's to relax and finish up the TX game.

TV Week

Yipee! I HEART THURSDAYS! They are my FAVORITE day of the week. If you know me well, you know that I am a HUGE TV fanatic. If you don't know me well...well, I LOVE TV! If you ever need a show to watch, try these:

Grey's Anatomy, October Road, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, ER, CSI, NCIS, Numb3rs, Survivor, Without a Trace, The Unit. Oh how I love TV. It sounds silly, but it is a comfort to me.

Tonight we had a Grey's get together at the Butlers. Grey's is one of my FAVES.

PAYDAY

Yay...its been since July that I deposited a paycheck into our checking account. Today, I FINALLY got paid. Thanks, NISD.

Rebecca + Shaun = The Millers

Having never before met Rebecca before her wedding day, I was quite anxious about driving to DFW. Rebecca is beautiful, kind, considerate, and enthusiastic. Making her wedding day the most important day of her life was extremely important to her. Every detail was perfectly planned, including the moment her father saw her for the first time on her wedding day. Becca calls herself a traditional bride...she waited until they were just about to walk down the aisle to meet her groom before she allowed her father to see her in her gown. Talk about a sweet moment! These two could hardly maintain composure. I have seen few girls who are in love with their Daddy like Becca is. I hope that your good lookin' husband has captured your heart much in the same way that your father has. Becca and Shaun didn't leave one another's side the entire night. Even at the altar, they held hands excitedly throughout the entire ceremony. After being married for only 8 months, this wedding was refreshing in that it made me go home thrilled to see my husband simply because he is that...my husband. Congratulations, Bec and Shaun! Thank you for trusting me when never having met me. I had a blast and am so glad that I can now call you my friend.

We Love Chili's!

Not only is Chili's yummy to my tummy, but they're donating 100% of today's proceeds to
St. Jude Research Hospital to raise funds for childhood cancer and the soon-to-be-open Chili’s Care Centerwill. The Chili’s Care Center will house the Department of Radiological Sciences, The Pediatric Brian Tumor Consortium (PBTC), space for inpatient activities and new research laboratories. The St. Jude brain tumor team is committed to finding cures as well as preserving the quality of life. The six-story 325,000 square foot building is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2007.

Not often do Daniel and I eat out during the week or spend a lot on dinner when we do. Tonight, neither of us had a problem ordering more than enough food! I even have leftovers for lunch later this week. THANKS, CHILI'S! I think that what you did today is AMAZING!

Aggie Bling!

OH HAPPY DAY!
Hannah received her Aggie Ring today! Yay! I absolutely cannot express how proud of her I am. Hannah is the best at SO many things! She is brilliant, beautiful and successful at almost anything she puts her mind to. She "Beat the Hell Outta" 95 hours pretty quickly! Way to go, Han. Wear that ring with pride and smile knowing that you are linked to hundreds of thousands of Ags all over the world.
Special thanks to Baba and Shannion for driving in from East Tx and to Margo and Sophia for coming out in the heat. Your presence made the event even more special!

Shalley Football Fiesta

Full of AGGIE SPIRIT, we opened our home to new and old friends to have dinner and watch the game Thursday night. Such fun! I had a great time hanging out and talking with everyone. Daniel's burgers and baked beans were AMAZING! I am so grateful to have a husband who will step foot in the kitchen. Thanks Dan for staying up late with me to make huge patties and baked potato salad. Also, he spent all of Wednesday afternoon/night and Thursday afternoon cleaning the apartment so that everyone could come over and I wouldn't have to stress out to get the place prepared. Daniel has been my saving grace for the past few weeks...I'm having a rough time adjusting to some of the aspects of school teaching. Coming home to Daniel and Honey is the BEST part of my day, apart from the hour I have to myself each morning. I LOVE this time! I get to pray, sing along to praise songs and catch up with old friends that are awake as early as I am. Okay, I'm OFF TOPIC - which is a no-no in English. Sorry, I just needed to brag on my husband.

Thank you to the Larkins, Georges, Luces, Marcelo, JonO and Cam for coming to hang out with us. We had a wonderful evening despite the scoreboard!

A VERY special thank you to Cameron for driving all the way from Nav to see us! Sometimes, it takes an old friend to cure a bad day. Cameron, you are near and dear to my heart. You're one of my favorite men! I cannot put into words how much I love you. Thank you for so many years of beautiful friendship. (ps- thanks to my husband for loving Cameron as much as I do and for understanding how important he is to me!)

Friday Night Fun!

Since we haven't had down time or alone time in a long time, we're just hanging around the house tonight. Here ya go:

Happy Birthday Daniel!

Today is my SWEET husband's bday! Aside from being awakened at 2am by a wrong number and having to go to work because the hurricane did NOT hit Houston, I think that Daniel had a pretty great day. He got some pretty cool man money that I'm sure he'll spend on hunting gear. Erica, Liz, Kevin, Jim, Jon and I took Dan to Outback for the steak dinner that we've been craving all week. The service was surprisingly slow but it allowed us plenty of time to eat several loaves of bread and catch up on the last few weeks of our lives. It was a great way to end my day! Thank you for celebrating my husband with me.
Daniel, Honey and I love you to no end! You are a blessing to me and I am excited to spend the next 100 bdays with you! HAPPY 24th!

This is super belated, but I finally have the chance to give a shoutout to Hannah Glameyer. She graduated about a month ago and while we were all gathered together to celebrate her success, her boyfriend proposed to her! What a shock and surprise to all of us! She's getting married next spring and I simply cannot wait to celebrate with her on her wedding day. Hannah, congratulations! I love you and wish you the very best. TEXES ELA EXAM

I PASSED! While in D.C. last weekend, I found out that I passed my English certification exam. HIP HIP HOORAY! I am psyched that my hard work and studying for 2 weeks straight has paid off and that I was right to feel confident after the 5 hour exam!

Rachel and Kenneth had a BEAUTIFUL wedding!
I was so excited to be a witness as they exchanged vows, said "I DO" and then danced the night away. Love and sincerity exude from you; you made me remember how lucky I am to have married my best friend too! I loved all the personal touches that added amazing detail to your wedding day. Rae and Kenneth come from BIG, fun and loving families that were a joy to be around all day. You all made my job easy and enjoyable and I had a blast capturing your memories. I hope that you had a memorable time in Wyoming...it's not so bad! Can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
