Thanksgiving Week
November 19 --My sweet man hasn't been feeling so great so great so we scheduled a doctor's appointment for today. I want to get meds in him before leaving town for Thanksgiving. Nothing major was wrong, but we're back on breathing treatments so that the runny nose and congestion clear up. Parker looks so big sitting on the exam room table. He things he's big too and opens and closes the door flirting with the nursing staff. I have a little charmer on my hands.
November 20--We packed for our upcoming trip to Ft Worth and hung out at home this morning. While waiting for Daddy, we saw that Ellie and Emma were going to SeaWorld. I figured why not, and we jumped in our car and tagged along. It was fun to get to go with friends and to also see the Christmas lights. The kids loved it. We can't wait to go back with Daddy Daniel.
November 21--
We piled our whole life in the truck and made the long drive to Sarabeth's today. It was so great for Daniel to finally meet his baby nephew. Parker was sweet and loved on Colty as much as we'd let him. He has been very interested in his cousins. I can't wait until all the boys are big enough to play together without worry of the older ones hurting the little ones (too much). It was so fun to have all three boys together for the first time. Sadly, we didn't have Papa with us...major bummer for this holiday. Still we planned on having a great time while together.
November 22 --
We spent today enjoying our sweet boys and enjoyed a delicious lunch on the back porch. As the day began to wind down, us mamas decided we should let the cousins have their "first Christmas" together. We drug out the gifts and watched as Parker wanted to open all of them. It was a little overwhelming as the living room quickly filled with "stuff" and this was only a quarter of the boys' Christmas. We had a hard time holding back as two boys weren't around to shop for last year. The biggest surprise of the night was giving Grana her ipad. Can't wait to spend more time on Facetime with her and Papa.

My Parker boy loves to get out of the house. His all time favorite place to visit right now is the zoo. We're learning to identify more and more animals and he's quite good at making all the appropriate sounds too. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we all loved stretching our legs and getting some fresh air. The two little boys each did great and even napped outside. We love the Ft Worth zoo and can't wait to visit again!

After a great few days with the Shalley fam, it was time to give lots of hugs and kisses and make the drive home to hang out as a little family before Daddy Daniel headed back to work. Parker did amazing in the car. I'm so proud of what a great traveler he has become. Once we got home, he immediately wanted to get out his new toys to play. His aunts did great and he racked up with a few new trucks.
November 25 --
We were quite lazy today. It was nice to stay in our pj's and just spend time together at home.
November 26--
MOPS Monday. Parker and I got to see all our friends this morning and then headed home for some nap time snuggles. It'd been a long time since he last fell asleep with me holding him. I relished the moment and held him tightly. As much as I appreciate what a great sleeper he is, I did momentarily miss holding a sleeping baby.

Parker boy went to school today while I ran a few errands with Baba, Hannah and Maegan. We got some Christmas shopping crossed off our list. It is so nice to be able to shop at leisure this year and not have to rush to get purchases made. I've enjoyed walking with Parker and thoughtfully selecting items for the people we love. Today we ran across a sweet lady who needed a booster seat for her grandson. The circumstances spoke to my heart and I rushed off to SAMS to get one for her. I hope that she's blessed by it and pays it forward when she can. After school, we went to the library and the park. Parker had so much fun with Hannah and MaeMae and loved that they climbed around and went down the slide with him. Once home, I decided that it must finally be the right time to break out the Christmas decor. Watching my baby's eyes light up with wonder as he examined the tree and the decorations was so sweet to witness. I just love how simply he is captivated. I soaked up the moment as I was reminded what Christmas is really about.

Though it was a little cool this morning, we braved the weather and took everyone to the zoo. It's so fun to slow down and let Parker make his way through the park in his own time. He loved riding the train and getting to walk around like a big boy. We are always so glad to have family come stay with us during the week. It's super special to get to spend time doing things that Parker enjoys with those we love.
