Ahhh, summer has finally arrived. And with it a sense of relaxation and relief. Summer is comfortable. Summer is joy. Summer is happiness. Summer is sleeping in. Summer is lying by the pool. Summer is cuddling with my precious Honey girl. Summer is laughter, time with friends, hugs for family. Summer is my peace. Summer is my chance to rejuvenate, to come alive again, to grow with excitement for the next school year. I love the anticipation I feel waiting for a new group of kiddos to walk into my life. Until then, summer is my best friend. Here's a peek at my very first day...
After working from 8am-11am, making sure I had all my signatures and everything taken care of at the school house, eating lunch with my mama and work friends, it was time to head home. Home. Rest. Ahhh, summer. I love it. Daniel greeted me at the door, helped me unpack my car, and we immediately agreed upon a nap. Our favorite. After nap time, we enjoyed an Icee and played with Honey in the back yard. It was such a restful day. I am excited to spend more time together as a family.
Our favorite little girl, before her summer hair cut.
Her face usually looks like this. She just can't handle having a calm, tamed mustache.
Another example of the wild face.
She has a good sniffer.
Honey loves to play. She's eyeing her ball.
This is my favorite toy to play with...Honey doesn't mind it either.
Honey can RUN! Look at those ears flying in the wind.
Now, I know this isn't in focus, but check out her jump! She was so fast.
My sweet Daniel.
FYI - there may be lots of Honey pics this summer. I'm practicing with a few new lenses.
Hope your summer is exciting & enjoyable!

Sr Trip
We had so much fun on senior trip this year. Someone had the bright idea to purchase flash passes. We did and were able to schedule our rides, walk right up to the front of the line and get on! We laughed, screamed at the top of our lungs, ate good food, and enjoyed the day together away from school.
My absolute favorite women at school.
We ran into this group of kiddos.
My Mom and I. We have so much fun together. I LOVE that I get to see her everyday.
Laura and Jill
This is our fun group from the day!
Hanging out afer lunch
I will miss my Wacey so much! He comes to see me almost everyday.
Another group of kiddos
Another of my favorite boys.
Fine Gator's...we ate lunch here and had to take a picture of our own Gator.

1st Ever! Real Opportunities.
I am so proud to announce that the first ever Sarah Shalley Photography Real Opportunities Scholarship was given tonight! Several students applied for the scholarship and I was blown away by Maritza's essay. This girl participates in everything! She is brilliant and wants to change the world by becoming a doctor. If anyone can, she can. I believe in her and can't wait to see what she accomplishes. I'm honored to have her represent my business.
In addition to giving my scholarship, I also presented a scholarship on behalf of my family. My parents, sisters, aunt & uncle, grandmother, cousin and Daniel and I gave a scholarship in memory of our sweet Emily. It was difficult to stand before a crowd of people and speak her name without becoming emotional. 9 months today, our Emily went to Heaven. At the scholarship banquet, I mentioned that Emily was so devoted to her friends, her school, her teammates. She loved everything Tiger. She was loyal to her community and her school. When reading through the scholarship applicants, one person stood out above all. His essay brought tears to my eyes. He is a Rattler through and through. He loves our small town and our school. He has dedicated his high school years to representing NHS by being a Student Council officer, a member of National Honor Society, a part of the band, and our mascot Venom. No one deserved this scholarship more than Cole. Emily would definitely agree. We love you Cole. Can't wait to visit you at SFA.
Best of luck to both of you! Congratulations.
