Just hours ago, I shot my first maternity session. For years I've been dying to get my lens on a pregnant woman. Shasta is the one and only! She and Brad live super close so I drove over this afternoon to play around in their neighborhood. They are soooo ready to meet their sweet son. Daddy Brad was washing clothes and blankets and putting all the tiny clothes away. I had such a great time with these two. They were easy going, comfortable, and totally laid back. My favorite! We laughed our butts off and then enjoyed some delicious Mexican food. I couldn't wait to look at some of my favorite moments on the computer screen. Hope you love these! We can't wait to meet the boy.
Future Mama is BEAUTIFUL!
Can't leave out the 1st baby, Jack the cat.
This is one of my faves.

Monkey Toes
So we have this thing in our family that we laugh about. It involves people's toes. Only a select few have "the toes" and we consider ourselves quite unique. Apparently my great-grandfather Dick had them. I don't remember Dick. Cousin Cliff has them. Cousin Laura has them. Sweet Emily had them. I most definitely have them. Our toes are so long that they resemble fingers. When I was born, they said I had monkey toes. These toes are special: we can pinch with them, even pick things up with them. Oh, the talent that lies within us! Laura and I are united in that our toes make us better people. New little baby Ella has the toes! This means she'll likely be strong, opinionated, talkative...you know, female. She'll fit right in. I can't wait to be her friend. It's killing me that I can't take her picture, but I'm so glad that her Mama and Daddy and MamaD are clicking away with their camera phones like crazy people.
Today's Ella Update is that she is doing VERY well. She's eating and continuing to grow and develop. All great signs of a healthy baby. Please continue praying!

Cousin Jacob
So sorry that I'm behind on the blogging. Life has been crazy this past week. Hard.
This is cousin Jacob. He went to Heaven this morning. He's with his sister Kate and cousin Emily. He is perfect in Heaven. Please pray for our family as we grieve the loss of our sweet boy. Pray harder for Ella. She's living in NICU, doing well, growing strong. She has a long road ahead. We need her to continue to grow big and strong so that her development improves and she can go home to live with her sweet parents.

Cousin Laura
My cool cousin Laura is on bedrest. She is pregnant with twins, Jacob and Ella. We made a Target trip for her and picked up some pizza before heading to the L&D floor of the hospital to hang out. She looks great, is feeling great and is hanging in there. Keep them in your thoughts...these babies need to cook a little longer.

Date Night
I scheduled a date with my favorite little 2 year old tonight. Maddox came tromping in the house excited about a sticker for going potty and stinking like a little boy who'd played hard outside all day. I was so looking forward to being with Maddox...I hadn't seen him since Christmas. We went to Mom and Dad's to run in the yard and play with Honey. When the 4 big dogs barked, he sucked in a deep breath and said "they're hollering at me". Too funny. We ate enchiladas at La Casita and then headed to the basketball game. Truly, he was very well behaved. We only had to chase him down a couple of times. When Bekah asked Madd to do something, he looked at her and said "I don't need your problem". Haha. He is getting so big! Here we are -
