Real Opportunity
My dear husband is riding in this year's MS150 bike ride from Houston to Austin on April 17th and 18th. Over 13,000 riders enter and ride to raise money for multiple sclerosis research, a neurological disorder. PLEASE support Daniel and make a donation! He has been working hard to prepare for the ride. I'll be with him on the road, volunteering with his team and will let you know how things go. I'm excited and proud to support Daniel through this experience. We thank you for your donations.

My New Year
I'm super late in posting my goals for the new year. The radio station I listen to says to narrow my goals down to ONE so that I can remain focused. Last year, I posted a slew of things that I wanted to work on. When I look back at them, I had high hopes and great intentions...but I fell short. So, this year I am simplifying things. This year I am NEW IN 09. Everything that I do will be with the intention to glorify God. I will be NEW. I will.
So far, 25 days into the new year I am doing SO WELL at this. One of the many things on my long list of ways to be new is to read the Bible chronologically. I tried this last year and it totally fell through. This year, I'm on track and I am loving all that I am learning. Daniel and I have been faithful in attending church and Sunday school and we've joined a Bible study. I can't tell you how this has changed my life. I feel strong! We've also been working out and eating healthier. Next on our list, paying off debt and SAVING!
What are your plans for this new year?

My Little Bearkat
After school, Mom and I went to visit Bek in Huntville. We all needed a smile and a hug. Bekah and I got a much needed pedicure and then we all went to dinner at Tops and Bottoms. It felt so great just to look my sister in the eyes and tell her I love her. Bekah, rain and shine I am always here for you. BELIEVE, sweet sister. BELIEVE.

Happy ONE Year!
Today, we spontaneously met up with the Wilson clan for dinner. It'd been too long since I'd hugged the necks of Granddad, Grandma, Ginger and Rilee. My brain didn't remember that it was Grandma's one year anniversary of her liver transplant. We had something wonderful to celebrate! One year ago, I posted this. I am so grateful that my prayers were answered and that my grandmother is healthy and doing well. Here we are. Thankful.

Drive In
My best kept secret is The Show Boat Drive In. It's about 10 minutes from our house and is SUPER FUN. It costs $5 per person to watch 2 shows. Can't get much better than that! The movies are new too. Since I've been bragging about this, Cameron and Trish wanted to get in on the action with us. They drove in and we all bundled up to watch Mall Cop. Afterwards, we came back to the house and stayed up past midnight dueling one another on the Wii. Thanks for joining us in Cypress. We had a blast!

Two Years
Happy Anniversary my sweet husband. Thank you for marrying me and for loving me completely each day. You bring me laughter, joy, smiles. You show me patience, tolerance, kindness, service, love. We are growing each day. I see you become more strong in your faith, more disciplined in learning God's word. What an amazing example and great encouragement you are to me. I am grateful for you. You are my rock. THANK YOU for standing by me, for holding me up throughout some of the most difficult seasons of my life over this last year. I love you with my whole heart.
As is customary, here's our anniversary picture both alone and with our sweet Honey.

Happy New Year
New Year's Eve we packed up and headed to the woods. We were camping. Well, sort of. We sat around the camp fire talking and eating smores half the night. Thank goodness for that fire. It was chilly! The girls played a few rounds of Uno and snacked on queso while the boys did their man-thing by the fire. This year, it was especially difficult to stay up until midnight. There weren't any fireworks, just a kiss good night for us. We ladies shacked up in the cabin while the guys roughed it on the ground in the tent. New Year's Day we made breakfast, chatted, cleaned up, shot skeet, and headed home for a much needed nap. This NYE was quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Just what I needed to ring in the new year. Thank you so much Steph & Jason for the invite.
Beautiful way to end 2008!
