Friday night, we packed the cars to the brim and drove to East Texas in the middle of the night. Thank goodness Daniel volunteered to drive...Mom and I snoozed in the back seat the entire time. We crashed at Shannion's for just a few hours before waking up to pack the cars that would be going to Tennessee. Once everyone arrived and we had the vehicles perfectly packed [it took several times before we got it right], we were on our way. We stopped off at the nursing home to kiss Bebe before we left San Augustine. Two way radios made the drive incredibly entertaining. With 17 people in four cars, we could only laugh at the number of times we stopped to eat and go to the bathroom. It was the longest day! We arrived in La Follette early Sunday morning and wove up and down the hills in the darkness before finally arriving at our beautiful four story lakeside lounge. We romped up and down the many sets of stairs exploring the house, unloaded our bags and settled in. Eventually our heads hit the pillow sometime before 6am Sunday morning.
Honey took a little bit of medicine and did so well in the car! She loved sitting in the back seat with the boys. The three of them piled up like puppy dogs and snoozed the day away.
