Father's Day Fishing

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dads out there! Dan Wilson and Roger Shalley are two of the very best. Thank you for all that you have sacrificed for us. Thank you for years of love, support and encouragement.

We spent Father's Day in Van Vleck with Barbara and Roger. Barbara made several AMAZING meals: New York strip steak in a bourbon sauce, porter house steaks, fried and grilled fish, potato salad...YUM! Daniel and Roger went fishing and caught our dinner for Saturday night. Check out the redfish!

Welcome to the family, Cana!

Daniel's cousin Kristina and her husband Dusty had a little girl this morning! We have been waiting anxiously to see what little Cana Grace Overby would look like. She is beautiful! Congrats to Kristina and Dusty and their families. Daniel and I both look forward to seeing you all and to meeting Cana in September. DC...here we come!
Much love,

Honeymoon!

Waiting to take our honeymoon was a GREAT decision. Daniel and I were both so excited about our trip! Upon first glance of our resort, our breath was literally taken away. I've seen few things as beautiful as the El Dorado Royale. As we walked through the front doors of the lobby, we were greeted with smiling faces and were handed glasses of chilled champagne. I could have gotten used to that! It was about 11:30am and our room wouldn't be ready until around 3:00pm so we set out to explore the grounds. First things first - LUNCH and a DRINK! Then we walked down the beach and saw the most amazing thing ever: beds on the beach! Ahhh...HEAVEN! Daniel and I were exhausted from having woken up at 4am to catch our flight. We settled in and took a nap in the breeze. I thought it was perfect. We spent the next few days on the beach or in the pool, usually with a drink in hand. Our dinners were some of the best food we've ever eaten and afterwards we watched shows at one of the swing bars. One of the best things about the trip is that we made some wonderful friends. Garrett, Merideth, Kelli, Doug, Elizabeth and Chad - we can't wait for a reunion.
